More Festool®: Router Techniques
Wednesday, March 9, 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
and Thursday, March, 10, 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
In this workshop, Quint Tapscott will cover the full Festool router line-up, including the MFK 700, OF 1010, OF 1400 and OF 2200, as well as key system accessories such as the MFS, LR32 hole-boring system and FS guide rails. You will leave with a range of broadly applicable skills, with emphasis on panelized doors, circles and arcs, cabinet shelf pins and hinge boring, inlays, fluting and edge-banding, among others. You should have an improved understanding of advanced routing techniques as they apply to trim carpentry, cabinet work and furniture construction. Real-world, application-based exercises will enhance your understanding of how to efficiently employ the Festool router system in the shop and on the job site. You should have some previous experience with the Festool system or have taken our Fundamentals of the Festool System seminar. All tools and materials will be provided.
Quint Tapscott has taken extensive training courses at the Festool training facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has been interested in all things wood from an early age. More recently, he's experimented with making his own headboards out of cedar rails and creates wooden projects for family and friends. Quint is an employee of Lee Valley Tools.
